So, I’ve been healing up and doing things at home to make the place more comfortable and suitable for me. My bestie has been staying with me off and on for a few weeks. Basically, this is her home base, but she really just comes here when she’s not otherwise busy. She babysits for my Minnie Me.
For my torn meniscus, I am doing physical therapy. Today was the first actual session, and I liked it. The physical therapist said the exercises we do, and I am doing them at home, will also help with my weight loss journey. The silver lining, as it were, of getting hurt..
Work has been mostly okay; the longer I stand, the more my knee hurts. I have two knees, and of all the sides to do this to, the side with the sciatica is the one that is injured. Sucks tho, cause the scaiotica triggers the knee pain as well.
My boyfriend Mark and I still talk daily. Unfortunately, it’s a long-distance relationship, but he comes down to visit me when he can. I don’t drive, so it has to be him. He’s a great guy, though. He’s my personal teddy bear. He is helpful as I am; I have as big a heart as I do, which is rare, and the odds of finding someone else with this type of heart are minimal—really wanting this one to be the one that lasts. Everyone you meet in life is a blessing or a lesson. I’ve learned so many lessons; some lessons were forced on me, others were learned with experience. I try to be a blessing to everyone I meet. Hoping he can be my blessing.
